Swedish massage is the foundation of everything we do at Spirit & Body Massage. Using long, flowing strokes, gentle kneading, and soothing rhythmic movements, this massage promotes circulation, calms the nervous system, and melts away daily stress.
What sets our Swedish massage apart is the way we combine relaxation with therapeutic intention. While many spa chains offer “cookie cutter” sessions, we customize every massage. Sometimes your body may need only the gentle rhythm of Swedish strokes; other times, your therapist may weave in deeper techniques to release tension. Either way, your session remains deeply relaxing and restorative.
Clients often report benefits such as:
- A calmer mind and reduced stress levels
- Relief from tension headaches and fatigue
- Improved sleep and energy
- Softer, more flexible muscles
- A renewed sense of balance and wellbeing
Swedish massage can be enjoyed as a stand-alone service or as the base for a customized therapeutic session. Learn more about Swedish Massage.

Deep Tissue massage
Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The therapist uses slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Deep tissue massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems or recovery from injury. People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage.

Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are small, tight knots in muscles that can cause pain in seemingly unrelated areas—a concept known as referred pain. Trigger point therapy uses precise pressure to release these knots, easing both local and radiating discomfort.
At Spirit & Body Massage, we combine this focused technique with the gentle flow of Swedish massage to keep the session balanced. The result is a treatment that reduces pain while still calming the nervous system.
Benefits include:
- Relief from headaches, TMJ, or jaw pain
- Reduced neck, shoulder, and back tension
- Improved flexibility and mobility
- Better circulation and energy flow
This modality is especially helpful for clients who sit at desks, carry stress in their shoulders, or suffer from recurring tension patterns. Learn more about Trigger Point Therapy

Myofascial and Connective Tissue Massage
It is a massage that deals with the muscle and connective tissue interconnected to every other area of the body. During the myofascial release session, the therapist find stuck zones called restrictions and use gentle sliding pressure in the direction of the restriction to stretch the tissue and “liberate” the fascia in order to return it to a state of normalcy. The stretching of tissues and the heat provided by the therapist’s hands aid to produce a softer consistency of fascia, which support musculoskeletal system and alleviate chronic pain, headaches, and stress-related ailments, and TMJ.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on the rhythm of the craniosacral system—the membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord. Using light touch, the therapist encourages balance in the nervous system, helping to relieve pain and stress.
This modality is deeply relaxing and supportive for:
- Headaches and migraines
- TMJ dysfunction
- Chronic neck or back pain
- Stress, anxiety, and nervous system imbalance
Many clients describe craniosacral sessions as deeply calming, often leaving with a clearer mind, lighter body, and greater sense of balance. Learn more about Craniosacral Therapy.
